On Thursday 8th of June KS1 enjoyed an exciting trip to the beach at Weston-Super-Mare. After a rainy start to the day the pupils enjoyed seeing the sights along the prom from the land train. Lots of people were happy to see the pupils and waved back to them. Next the pupils explored the Seaquarium where they saw lots of fascinating sea creatures and had a interesting talk about marine life. Did you know shark’s eggs are called ‘mermaids purses’? As the weather began to clear up the pupils ate their lunch on the beach but they had to hide it from the pesky seagulls! After lunch the sun finally came out. The pupils enjoyed building sandcastles with their buckets and spades, had a wonderful donkey ride and ate a delicious ice cream. A great day was had by all.
